چکیده

The purpose of this paper is to describe the main characteristics of macroinvertebrate species in response to environmental forcing factors. Overall, 23 species of Mollusca, 4 species of Arthropods, 3 species of Echinodermata and 3 species of Annelida were identified at the 9 sampling stations during four sampling periods. Individual species of Mollusca constituted 36.4% of the total abundance, followed by Arthropods (27.01%), Annelida (34.3%) and Echinodermata (2.4%). The results of Kruskal-Wallis test indicated that a significant difference (p <0.05) in the abundance, richness and diversity of the macro-benthic community in different stations. The correlation analysis revealed that anthropogenic pollution and natural variability caused by these variations in spatial scales. Keywords—Benthic invertebrates, Diversity, Malaysia, West Port.

The effect of Rainbow trout farms effluents on benthic macro-invertebrates of Marber River in Semirom

The effect of Rainbow trout farms effluents on benthic macro-invertebrates of Marber River in Semirom city was investigated in spring and summer of 2013. Sampling from benthic macro-invertebrates was done monthly using Surber sampler (mouth area of 30.5 * 30.5 cm with a 500 mesh net) at entrance, discharge and far from three fish farms. In addition to measuring physical and chemical parameters ...

Benthic Macroinvertabrate distribution in Tajan River Using Canonical Correspondence Analysis

The distribution of macroinvertebrate communities from 5 sampling sites of the Tajan River were used to examine the relationship among physiochemical parameters with macroinvertebrate communities and also to assess ecological classification system as a tool for the management and conservation purposes. The amount of variation explained in macroinvertebrate taxa composition is within values r...

اثر سد زاینده‌رود بر جوامع بزرگ بی‌مهرگان کفزی و کیفیت آب رودخانه زاینده‌رود با استفاده از شاخص‌های زیستی BMWP و ASPT

Dams provide benefits for human societies, but now they are considered as one of the most important factors influencing habitat degradation and changing the hydrological water flow. In order to study the ecological effects of Zayandehroud Dam on the benthic communities and water quality of Zayandehroud river, six sampling stations were selected on the river substrate using biological indicators...

Late Maastrichtian benthic foraminiferal response to palaeoenvironmental changes: a case study from the AbTalkh Formation, west of Kopeh-Dagh Basin, Iran

Benthic foraminiferal assemblages from Maastrichtian strata, Gansserina gansseri-Abathamphalus mayaroensis Planktonic Foraminiferal Zone, of the AbTalkh Formation at Aitamir section (west of the Kopeh-Dagh basin) were investigated in order to evaluate the palaeoenvironmental changes (organic matter flux and bottom-water oxygenation). Maastrichtian faunal assemblages are well preserved and diver...
